Accessible bathrooms in Colchester
Beautiful walk-in showers, wet rooms and safer bathrooms for homes across Colchester and the surrounding villages.
Nord is based in Colchester, so for homes across the city and nearby villages we're never far away. We design beautiful bathrooms that are safer and easier to use, for older people who want to stay independent at home and for families planning ahead for a parent.
Popular jobs in Colchester include replacing an old bath with a level-access walk-in shower, adding grab rails that look like towel rails and a fold-down seat, and fitting comfort-height toilets and basins. Every bathroom is designed to look like a lovely room first, with the safety features built in neatly.
What we fit in Colchester
- Walk-in showers with low or level-entry trays
- Wet rooms with a fully level, non-slip floor
- Easy-access and walk-in baths
- Fibo waterproof wall boards from Norway instead of tiles, with no grout lines to clean
- Grab rails that look like towel rails, fold-down seats and comfort-height toilets
Prices, VAT relief and grants
Most full Nord bathrooms cost £8,500 to £10,000, including design, materials and fitting. Smaller changes cost less, and you'll get a fixed written quote after your free visit.
If you have a long-term illness or disability, adaptations can often be zero-rated for VAT. You may also be able to apply to Colchester City Council for a Disabled Facilities Grant. We'll talk you through both at your visit.
